Burn DVD software

Is there really a software with wich you can burn dvds with a normal cdr burner. and if where can i get it!

Yes, as there is a nifty little program to turn your Intel P4 processor into a AMD Athlon XP CPU

Just kidding, no this is not possible.
DVD and CD-R are two completely different ways of writing.

If you’ve got a dvd rom and a cd burner you can rip your dvd (extract all of the video and audio files) convert them into mpg1 or mpg2 dumb down the quality alittle bit so that it will fit on a 80min cd. then use pretty much any decent burning software to burn a video cd. and poot!! you’ve got a VHS quality cd that will play in 80% of all stand alone dvd players. you don’t get any menues of anything like that but it’ll play the movie. goto the VCD section here to learn more.

To basically create a mini-dvd which can be mastered to
a regular cd-r (80min) and make own menu and burn
but in the same format as DVD’s ie: UDF and small vobs

But you can’t burn a DVD movie to a CDR, not the actual size that is! :stuck_out_tongue:
I don’t think a miniDVD is what he meant.

Also I havn’t found a way to extract or even creat menus on a VCD… not enough room.

Does anyone know how to extract the original menus and extras from a dvd?
