Please help me, i need to burn some files to free hard disk space.

I believe that the HD space IS the problem. Nero needs to write a temporary buffer to your HD, before it can transfer it to DVD. You will need to make sure you have enough free space on your HD to start.

I have enough, unless nero needs like 60gb. it is just that it is becoming small from what i have and want to free space so i can go ahead and empty all the image files i have on my hard drive. i have about 6 or 7 image files of dvds which i want to burn and erase.
Also, if it were to be not enough free space on the hd, why would i get a buffer to large error?

Anybody has a suggestion, please!
I really don’t know what to do, I need help!
Or at least point me to a good replacement program, 'cause I only know Nero, have always used it.
Tnx

Why is DMA Off on all your drives? DMA needs to be On! If you don’t know how to turn DMA on go to search. There’s a guide here somewhere. Also you have alot of memory in use. Might wanna burn with nothing else running and see when you get DMA all ON.

tnx, I’m gonna do that

i have checked out this page http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=101616
but i don’t find the “advanced settings” tab.
is there another way to turn dma on?
btw my windows is in french

Right click on your IDE Primary and IDE Secondary Channels In Device Manager, then select Properties. Click Advanced.

Edit:I don’t know French

Do you Admins rights? There’s a registry hack around here somewhere also. Can remember it right of the top of my head.

Read this:

ok so now i reinstalled another version of windows, dma is on now. everything works perfectly as it should.
tnx for the help.
downside, I lost all my passwords, can anybody tll me how i can get my password for Milen506 user?

Glad you got it worked out.

Da_Taxman seems to be the person to help with that.
