Hi, I have a Buffalo External Blu Ray writer BR-X816U2-AP (USB) which I use with Windows 7 32 Bit and Cyberlink Power2Go 6 (which came bundled the writer). Till date, I've used 3 types of BD-R-DL disks:
1) Unlabelled (white inkjet paper) Blu Ray Disks
2) Optical Quantum BD-R (2,4,6x) Blu Ray Disks
3) Verbatim BD-R-DL (2,4,6x), BD-RE-DL (2x)
I'm trying to burn an ISO file to a Blu Ray disk.
Out of these, it only works fine with the Verbatim disks. All other OEMs disks are thrown out in the first 2 seconds of the write (Power2Go goes from 'preparing' to 'failed' and ejects the disks). I initially throught it was a problem with the disks, but how can so many disks be faulty? I've tried it on around 5-10 disks across the first 2 types.
I've tried this with Power2Go and the Windows native burning tool, but both give the same results.
For Power2Go the error code is: 0xeb020b9c
Request your help here. I'm attaching Power2Go logs from both the failed (fail.txt) attempt and passed (pass.txt) attempt.
I've raised this issue also with the respective OEMs and will keep you posted on the updates.
Additionally I'm using DVD Identifier and also media block data for both the Disks (Passed and failed)
