Newegg have the equivilent Pioneer for $99 so the price of this Buffalo doesn’t look too attractive right now.

The BRXL-16FBS-BK is a LG BH16 clone, can write BD-R SL at 16x speed.

Has LG released that drive yet? Know anything about whose chipset they used this time?

Usually LG will release later than Buffalo in Japan. I guess it still uses the same chipset as BH14.

I too think its another Pioneer clone.

Buffalo always sold Pioneer OEM BD burners.

The BRXL-16FBS-BK is a LG BH16NS48 clone and uses the same chipset as BH14.
