Are e-readers really ground-breaking new devices or are they really just a stop-gap, nice product category that will fade into insignificance as new tablet PC’s are released and ebooks become available on other devices? I certainly don’t want to drop a few hundred dollars on yet another separate device that only displays text content.

Well, considering how hard it is to sell books in book stores right now, I’m surprised they didn’t try to enter the market earlier. Let’s see if they can make up for lost time.

It seems exerybody has announced an ebook reader in the past couple of months.
