BlueGears Digital XMYSTIQUE7

Anyone own this sound card? Can it decode dts audio with the help of powerdvd or windvd only?

BlueGears/HDA Digital XMYSTIQUE7.1 8 (7.1) Channels PCI Interface

You probably mean the XPlosion, which is DTS, rather than the XMystique, which is DD.

Here’s a thread on the XMystique:

Here’s one on the XPlosion:

No I mean this. X MYSTIQUE 7.1 GOLD (BlueGears HDA X PLOSION 7.1 DTS CONNECT)
This isn’t even avaliable yet.

Supports the latest DTS-ES, DD-EX sound (6.1/7.1) playback (also including Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 playback) with Software Decoding Application like as PowerDVD, WinDVD
I thought I made it clear, maybe my english is confusing.

I believe what they are saying is it’s supported in the way any sound card will pass through DTS, but does not encode DTS. The pass through should work irrespective of the program so long as it outputs the DTS stream. They probably meant either such as or like rather than such like.

A lot of people are unhappy with the music playback as DD on the XMystique, but it can still pass a 2.5 PCM stream which is preferred by most audiophiles. The limitation is in the DD standard itself

Ok your telling me your sound card will (supported in the way any sound card will pass through DTS, but does not encode DTS. The pass through should work irrespective of the program so long as it outputs the DTS stream. They probably meant either such as or like rather than such like)

Now make a dvd with only DTS audio and put in your PC and then play that disc or HD files with your sound card and tell me about the sound card pass through DTS, The pass through should work irrespective of the program so long as it outputs the DTS stream. I want to know what you hear out of your speakers?

Does the sound of silence come to mind.
Do you have the XMystique sound card?

Not irrespective of the program, you need a program that supports pass through. I researched the XMystique some, it will pass through so long as you set it not to decode and you set the program to pass the DD/DTS stream and you have a digital connection to a DTS capable receiver. But, yeah, I can play back a DTS stream through ZPlayer (my preferred program) and several others not mentioned in their spec sheet. Some programs require you to register for a pass through option of the stream.

You really should just perform some basic research, the language barrier here seems a bit insurmountable. You’re starting to come across as a troll, whether you mean to or not (i’m guessing you do). Really, some humility until you gain a better understanding would serve you better in requesting tech support on a message board. It gets tiresome when people want to blame their own misunderstanding of the principles. The thread I linked for the XMystique should answer any questions you might have, I’m done here.

This shows the XMystique definitely does pass through.

If you get silence, something is not set up correctly.

Decoding it…it sure does with the help of WindDVD and so on. Get the XPlosion from Auzentech…GREAT features, great sound, and it has DTS Connect on top of Dolby Digital Live. These guys reads the market!!!
