Blue ray output using pinnacle studio 12

[qanda]This thread is about the LG DVD 16x52 SATA Retail. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]I edited avchd footage using pinnacle studio 12 and made a blue ray disc in best quality using an LG blue ray burner. The resultsl were not good, nothing near the quality the camera shows on a full hd tv. I got extra shots dropped in on other shots just maybe one or two frames, and most times just before a scene change using just a straight forward cut the scene would freeze for a second. Finally I used two types of disk one was a LG rewritable and the other was a Verbatum. On the LG disk the quality was accecptable but on the Verbatum the quaity was only as good as vhs tape was. I have a dual core proccessor computer with 4 gigs of ram.
My idea of hd video is that what you get on the screen from your camcorder you should get from the dvd disk, after all it is digital.
Is it my computer? my software? or the disk? Any advice will be greatly appreciated thank you.
