Sorry for the first post being a question. I looked around in the guides and searched a bit and couldn’t find anything. I’m in the market for a new camcorder as the last one is simply not reliable. Obviously I want to get an HD one. I’m thinking the kind that write directly to a BluRay disc. I have a PS3 and a couple of HDTV’s, so this ship is clean. The in-laws and the parents, however, are dinosaurs. I can live w/ ripping to AVI or WMV to send to my folks, but the in-laws don’t even have a computer, so that’s out.
Is there anything out there that can (in preferably few steps) crunch a BluRay DVD down to a vanilla DVD?
BluRay is no DVD and vice versa.
True VideoDVD is limited to few resolutions, mpeg2 mainly and max bitrate used.
BD has many various fileformats as an option.
