It’s nice that prices are coming down on Blu-ray hardware and content, but as we know, price isn’t everything. DVD was much more of an advantageous upgrade from VHS than Blu-ray is from DVD. Some people just don’t care about Blu-ray.

Bluray isn’t an advantage on smaller hdtv’s or crt tv’s, but anything over 40 inches there’s quite a quality increase.

I don’t think bluray adoption will be as quick as dvd, but as CRT’s get phased out and 40inch plus tv’s become the norm, I see bluray gradually taking over, as the demand for HD content for the tv’s goes up.
