Start blu-ray playback using CyberLink PowerDVD 10 (Mark II?). After playing for ~20-90 seconds I start to get video stuttering and audio dropping out and eventually come almost to a halt.
CPU Usage 40-65%.

Core 0 47c | ~52c (prime 95)
Core 1 47c | ~53C (prime 95)
Installed new nvidia gt240 1gb ddr5 card.
Installed new cooler master heatsink, new 92mm fan. Cleaned thermal paste off, installed new sparingly.
Hardware: Gateway GM5442 2gb Windows 7 Premium Intel core 2 E4400 @ 2ghz
CPU-Z shows motherboard as intel D945GCF
Blu-Ray drive HL-DT-ST BD-RE UH10LS20
I have tried numerious things to resolve this and am at a loss (every software update I can think of). It has crossed my mind that it is a blu-ray player (hardware) issue; but I don't know how to easily test the drive.
thoughts or direction is appreciated. This PC is the media center at my parents house, so my ability to respond intelligently may be sporadic.
Thanks and Merry Christmas.
