Blu-ray gets bigger with final BDXL specification.

The LTH disc quality isn’t very good and the other discs are still very expensive. That means the new discs and hardware won’t be easily adopted by consumers without a significant price drop and mass evolution of the hardware. Current hardware can’t read/write these discs so that would take a leap of faith by the cosumer who was basically screwed into the blu-ray monopoly as it is… Although there still is some time to bring this technology down in price as you can’t easily or legally buy a 128gb flash memory for under $50 today…
