Should have seen this coming. Back when Microsoft was perpetuating the format wars in an effort to kill discs, Sonic Solutions was acting as Microsoft’s main brain for streaming solutions. Looks like Sonic has moved on to more viable clients!

I don’t think Blockbuster will be teaming up with Microsoft anytime soon. Reed Hastings, CEO of Netflix, also sits on the board of directors of Microsoft. That is sure to impact any partnerships (and it already has). Hmmm, I wonder why Netflix instant streaming is available on the Xbox 360 but not the PS3?
