Something ist wrong with the actual version.

I tried to copy german versions of “Freedom fighters” (SD 2.9) and “Fire Warrior” (think SecuROM 4.85), but after burning the CD does not run, you can`t even install it, the CD just spins and does not run.:frowning:

I have newest firmware for LiteON 24102B, but still ist does not work…

which version do u use?
is it 4.9.9.106?
if yes,then try the newer one like 5.0.0.107.

so lap is it normal for securom that topology sometimes not needed is?and the game is WC3 The Frozen Throne.

i`ve got a problem.
when i choose the speed setting to medium or slow or fast, it only writes at maximum speed from SMARTBURN.
i tried with ritek media and put the speed to medium then it writes 40x instead of 24x or 32x.
currently using bw 5.0.0.107.

It has been BW 4.99.104 beta, but what is really interesting is that I´ve burned “Fire Warrior” (SecuROM 4.85.01.0007) a few minutes ago by BW 4.5.7.92, ant the game runs fine!! The image has been read by BW 4.99.xx, and game runs now, checks shortly for SecuROM code and works. :slight_smile:

but u will have to carry bw4 with bw5.
and hope the newest version fixed the problem.

im getting a unrecoverable read error when trying to use 107 with a good iso image…i thought blindwrite could write iso images?

Just burned “Republic” protected by SecuROM 4.84.84.0052 and it works fine with BW 5! :bigsmile:

Hi!
I download and install BW v4.9.9.104. The game i try to copy was Homeworld 2 (Securom 4.84).

I have the following problems when i try to read the cd with :

  1. Teac 32S (v3.0A) = Below source it say “CD-ROM , Incomplete” and it doesnt allow me to make image.

  2. Pioneer DR-U16S = Below source it say “CD-ROM , 613MB, [HOMEWORLD2]”. It reads the image till 99% and stuck there. (It does something like SCSI reset every 10 sec after 99%)

  3. UltraPlex 40Max (v1.14) = Below source it say “CD-ROM , 933MB, [HOMEWORLD2]”. It reads the image 100% but… at the begining of the ripping process it says :
    “can’t find a read method to read subcodes in DATA track”
    …and at the end …
    “163567 sectors fixed between LBA 313744 and 477415” &
    “Media topology isn’t required”

  4. PLEXWRITER 8/20 (v1.08)= Below source it say “CD-ROM , 613MB, [HOMEWORLD2]”. It reads the image 100% but… fail to make media topology and show this msg “Topology : Exception Message Operation aborted”

  5. PLEXWRITER 12/10/32S (v1.06) = Below Source it say " ,0 b." :confused: … and it doesnt allow me to make image…

Btw. The original CD is very clean.
I have WinXP (SP-1) with the following programs installed : CloneCD v4.2.0.2 , Nero v6.0.0.11 and DeamonTools v3.33.

Any help will be appreciated… :slight_smile:

Maybe time to go back to CloneCD\FireBurner as I was getting great extraction& burn times with previous Blindwrite 5 Beta versions with my Memorex 52MAXX as reader\write

Er, lost a few brain cells there m8? Backups of previous BlindWrite 5 Beta worked just fine:p (Madden NFL 2004)= Safedisc 2.9.x
