Blank DVD Media Guides?

Just wondering if there are websites displaying the breakdowns on dvd media quality and what no out there on the web. I am not having any good luck finding a reliable one. I am only using Taiyo Yuden media for movies. But would like to have a guide around to read.

Thanks

Errrr, you are on CD Freaks… have you checked some of the other forums here? :stuck_out_tongue:

This one for example:

There is no website guide which any experienced user would reccommend, but if you use Verbatim-branded media or Taiyo Yuden media, your chances of recording problems should be low.

As Forum Member TL0 suggests certainly review the information contained at the CD Freaks Blank Media Forum ->

Agreed. I’d recommend to visit the CDF blank media forum (linked to above). I wouldn’t recommend any specific website guide, as opinions differ, and what one website may call trash or landfill media may be perfectly OK for “everyday” use.

As mentioned, Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim media are safe bets, and Verbatim especially seems to be very well supported firmware-wise.

Thanks guys. Yes I checked it out and I got good Taiyo Yuden …
