Bitsetting issues

Hello, I own a AOpen DSW2012SA DVD Burner and I am trying to burn an Xbox Game. I have heard that I need to change to Book type or bitsetting to DVD-ROM but my current drive does not support it.

I was wondering if someone could point me to a list that has drives that support changing the bitsetting using imgburn or tell me if there is a firmware that would allow me to do so with my current drive (I’ve looked all over and can’t find anything).

Many thanks.

Also, another question,

I looked into this drive:

And I’m wondering if I get this will the omnipatcher work on it if it doesn’t have built in bitsetting options? OmniPatcher doesn’t work on 5th and 6th generation drives and I can’t tell if this is one of them.

I think Liggy has modified firmware to do bittsetting on 7240s.

Your Aopen might be a Liteon drive. If so, you might crossflash it with Liteon firmware. Also, you might try one of the Liteon utilities to do bitsetting. Not sure though.

Burn it with the drive and tool YOU have created it!

I think stock firmware allows bitsetting on DVD+R DL.
