This may sound like a stupid question but I just bought a Gateway computer and was going to add the Liteon as a second drive. But this stupid machine needs a weird faceplate to bring the drive out even with bezel. If I install the drive it is recessed about inch or so into the machine. How do you you make a standard DVD drive fit in a Gateway GT5220?
I found a way to make it work OK. I drilled two new holes in the drive cage and that allowed me to move the drive far enough forward to make it look decent. I hated to do it to a new machine though.
Yea, I had to do the same thing with an E-Machine.
