Just wondering what methods peeps use to clean a BD-R disk??
Soap and water with a soft lint-free cotton cloth. Always rinse the disc off first to remove any grit.
I use a mix of 3 parts distilled water and 1 part Isopropyl alcohol. I squirt it onto a soft lint free cloth or lens tissue and rub gently in a radial motion. Works fine for me - especially when removing finger prints from rental blu-rays.
I just use lens cleaner spray solution and 3M cloth to clean the media read side and most times it cleans off the surface. Otherwise if your disc could be really scratch or bad press that could otherwise not read correctly.
Thanks CDan, SteveJC and coolcolors for your help. All great suggestions and will use them.
