I have a bunch of VHS and Hi8 tapes I want to transfer to DVD.
I've looked on several websites that sell computer hardware and have found a bunch of interfaces. They vary in price widely (and quality too, I'm sure). I would prefer USB or Firewire because I don't want to weigh this computer down when I'm not copying tapes.
Some of the ones I've found are:
AVerMedia DVD EZMaker USB Gold MEZUSBGDR USB 2.0 Interface
Pinnacle Studio MovieBox Plus HDV&AVCHD USB Video Editing/Captuer 82301002231 USB 2.0 Interface
ADS Tech Video & Audio Capture Device USBAV-709-EF USB 2.0 Interface
KWORLD Video Device DVD Maker 2 USB 2.0 Interface
Creative Video Blaster Editor 70SB063000000 USB 2.0 Interface
ADS Tech ADS TECH PYRO A/V Link w/Adobe Elements V4 Video Device API-557-EFS IEEE 1394 Interface
Hauppauge Video Capture Device USB-Live USB 2.0 Interface
Sometimes the best aren't the most expensive and vice versa. I'm willing to pay up to $150 (I know I can get a pro PCI interface for $1200).
Can you tell me which of these are good or suggest some that are better?
