looking at buying a new sub for my home theater need some imput, was looking at the Intimus S-10, 10" Powered Subwoofer and as for price somewhere between 4 and 700…my amp is a Denon 3802
I am kind of partial to Velodyne
I guess it’s really going to depend on where you are located and what is available to you as opposed to having it shipped in.
Boston Acoustics Baby…
Thanks for the imput .The Velodyne ds 4000 is what i have in my bedroom which is a pretty good sub and ive listened to some bostons to they do sound good, though i didn’t have much in the room to compare them with none the less they were the best sounding buy far thanks guys…
Try out a Klipsch > http://www.klipsch.com/products/lists/subwoofer.aspx
If you go with a down firing Woofer on carpet put a piece of glass or plexiglass under it. You will have to measure to see how big a piece you need. Hardwood floors are fine.
I have Polk Audio PSW404, was $599 when I bought it five years ago now you can get it for $200+
Got good reviews too.
They are both considered second to none for the price and performance combination, better than subs with many times more expensive.

Any of the Paradigm or Mirage subs will fill your needs , check specs to see what would go with the rest of your system , used both of these for many years ie audiophile system and home theater and still very satisfied …
