Best Settings for "Reading Error Control" tab?

What is the best settings for the “Reading Error Control” tab uder “Common Preferences” ?

I have:
I/O Mode - Auto
Ignore All Reading Errors Automatically
Retry Times - 4
Skip Sectors after a Reading Error - 32

If set to Ignore Read Errors Automatically, does it still retry 4 times?
Should Skip Sectors be set to a lower number?

Here are the setting that I use
My DVDFAB Platinum Settings Which Work Great For Me
I/O Mode: Auto
Check: Ask Retry/Ignore/Abort When Reading Error
Retry: 5 Times
Skip Sectors After Reading Error: 32
Cache Control: Check Enable Read Ahead

Write: Burning Engine VSO
Write Speed: 4X or 8X
DVD Writeable Media: DVD-5 Size 4472 ( less compression )
Write Type: SAO
Check Booktype To DVD-ROM ( only for DVD+R/RW Media )

Check Everything

Thanks! I just did a complete uninstall to clear out old coffin files and then did a reinstall and forgot what my settings were

I have it set to ask me as soon as there’s a read error - if there’s a potential problem with the disc I’d rather discover it up front & try cleaning it that find out half way through playback of the copy!

But in practice I hardly ever see a read error, I gues that “read error” is defined by windows, not by fab, and that it is possible for corrupt data to be “read” ok yet still result in picture glitches.
