Hi
I need to buy a new PC screen as my old one is starting to cause trouble

I would like a screen size of 22" - 27".

It must have DVI and HDMI inputs and displayport would be a bonus.

Can any one suggest a good screen for this price?

thx

The HP ZR2240W is an IPS monitor that has everything you want, and is just barely within your price range. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824176221

Prad.de did an in depth review of this monitor and gave it a Very Good rating, which is the highest on their ratings scale: http://www.prad.de/en/monitore/review/2012/review-hp-zr2440w.html

Many people seem to like the Dell UltraSharp series. The U2412M is another IPS monitor, but it doesn’t have an HDMI port (it does have a Displayport). Here is the Prad.de review of this monitor: http://www.prad.de/en/monitore/review/2011/review-dell-u2412m.html

My under $400 solution for a monitor was a 26" Vizio LED HDTV. Multiple HDMI to connect the computer and my tablet at the same time, VGA input for legacy devices and a tuner I can use if I’m bored…

Thank you for the fast replies
All the screens that have been suggested look very good but I have a further question
What advantage does an IPS screen have over an ordinary LCD display?

That’s a good question!

I don’t even know what IPS is.

For $400 I would recommend LINK: this monitor

It’s supposedly an Apple Cinema display made by LG but was rejected by apple for whatever reason and rebranded, people love them, super high resolution, IPS panel, connectivity. Here is a small discussion on them, there are more: LINK

IPS panels are capable of displaying more colors, they also have better viewing angles. Some IPS panels are not best for gaming, but most new ones are fast enough that there is no lag.
