Best Movie Burner

Um I’d just like to know what is the best movie burner to date. I’ve been having alot of trouble with todays latest movies such as Shooter, Casino Royale, Apocalyptop and some Disney movies etc…

Much help would be really appreciated.

The trouble you might be having with latest releases is probably not related with the burning procedure, hence the burner, but the new copy protection schemes that are applied in new releases. These problems are overcome by using specific software for reading the DVDs in question. Maybe if you could be a bit more specific we could narrow it down.

Hmmm fair enough. I burn the DVD fine but when I play it back I’ll get to a certain scene of the movie and it tries to play after that but won’t play anything after that point. It might be that I’m using my XBOX to play the DVD’s I don’t know. I think it’s the copyright protection.

Please Help

No, that cant be the copyright protection. The protection schemes wont let you rip the movie to your hard drive, so that you never get to the point to burn the actual files. If you have managed to burn the movie on to DVDs, then its probably a bad media problem, a drive problem or a combination of the two. What media are you using?

I’m using TDK DVD-R for Data/Video 4.7GB 1-16x. And I’ve seen people talking about drives burning in 1:1 or something…whats that I dont think my DVD burner has it.

That 1:1 refers to games’ protections and not movies. Do you get the playback error in all movies you burn? And there’s no error during the burning process right? Try using different media to the ones you are using (Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim media being the top of the cream) and try updating your drive’s firmware to the latest.

do what hemispasm said… but on a side note… try burning at a slower speed like 8x as you never mentioned what speed you burned at which if i where to guess since those are 16x rated discs you probably burned em @ 16x and generally speaking, 16x media is best burned @ 8x (maybe 12x in some cases) unless you got a fairly new burner (probably sometime in 2006 or newer?) odds are your drive sucks at burning 16x media @ 16x speeds.

all-in-all , update your drives firmware and burn those 16x discs @ 8x and see what happens is my advice

also, if your trying to rip those movies so u can burn them… your safest bet is to use Slysoft’s ANYDVD as thats pretty much the best dvd decrypting software out there overall to remove copy protection from movies in general nowadays.

oh ok cool bananas fellas. cheers

That is your problem! Use better media like Verbatim & TY!!!

1:1 could also mean the clone mode which makes an exact copy of the media with some burning programs :D:D

I used SubSonic Music Burner for burning movies, it is pretty cool.
