?Best IDE drive for these things?

Hi folks,

I was hoping that you guys could give me some suggestions for picking out my next burner. Here’s what I need from it.

  1. To be IDE

  2. To burn DVD-5s, DVD-9s and CDs

  3. To book type

Finally I’m not so concerned about how fast it does things as I am concerned about the quality. Thanks.

All recent drives meet your conditions, so you ca pick any drive you like more

Do you plan on using the drive to do quality scanning on your burned DVDs? If so, I’d get a Lite-On DH-20A4P. If not, and if you don’t mind reading a few giudes in the Pioneer forum, I’d get a Pioneer DVR-115D and use MCSE to enable bitsetting on the firmware (drive ships without bitsetting abilities on single layer).

Thanks for the suggestions Some Random Guy.

Hi
Welcome on board klemperal. :iagree:
For what it is worth, I’d go with the Pioneer DVR-115(D).
