i'd recommend a lossless compression format, rather than raw wav . but otherwise, capacity will probably matter more than speed, judging by what you are using it for.
I agree with CKIN2001,there is about a ten to one ratio,when comparing wav files
to MP3,so why not get an MP3 converter,
convert ALL your bulky .wav files to MP3,at around 256-320kbps,and see 1) how much hard drive space you save,and
2)how many MP3's you can get on that hard drive......Good Luck:cool:
