Best DVD-Rom drive?

Hi there,
who has a suggestions regarding “the best DVD-ROM drive”, where best means that the drive should fulfill the following conditions:
-quiet
-fast
-compatible with DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW
-high audio extraction rate
-good error correction

I would reccomend the LiteOn 16x. It is very inexpensive and popular and just fine. As stated abouve speed equals noise because as the drive reads faster the disc has to spin faster. If your worrieed about noise durning DVD movie playback don’t be because any decent DVD plying app will slow the drive to inaudable levels when playing a movie.

My 166S with the latest firmware and using WinDVD 5 to watch DVD movies, I can’t hear any noise, my drive is very quiet. It automatically reduces the reading speed.
