Best DVD-R for Saving Data?

can someone tell me what is the best dvd-r to store video files avi, mpeg etc. as a data dvd that I can get at the nearest electronic store??

Most everyone on this forum likes verbatim and tayio yuden or any media made in japan-which may be hard to find. You do not say what country your from ?? Starting tomorrow officemax has verbatim 100 spindle for $24.99.

I’m not a expert on these, but I heard recently people have been having problems with the quality of newer Verbatim DVD’s.

Hi A|O,

Use Verbatim if you can get them. All discs are not equal.
Many drives just won’t read/write junk media.
BestBuy has Verbs on sale this week …stock up.

Hope this helps…
