Electronics retailer Best Buy plans to increase the push for Blu-ray adoption this holiday shopping season, as retailers and manufacturers finally believe late 2009 and early 2010 will be a shining moment for the high definition format.

Now all that has to happen is to get those high tv prices way down so we can enjoy the blu ray experience.

I agree. Although prices of HDTV sets have come down in the past year, the prices of the 50"-and-up HDTV sets that I strongly recommend for full 1080p viewing at a viewing distance of 6 to 8 feet remain relatively high. And though 32" 1080p sets are reasonably affordable nowadays, that size is considered “small” nowadays while it was considered “large” back in the analog-only era.

I have not yet been to a Best Buy store where I did not have to tackle an employee and put them in a headlock in order to get a question answered.

I have the opposite experience, I can’t get them to stop bothering me…

I go into Best Buy just to mess with the sales people…I’ll ask them questions just to see what their answers would be…9 times out of 10 the answers are wrong! Lmao!
