Best archival DVD+R for Plextor PX-504A?

Hi, I’m a newbie here, so I apologize if the answer to this is somewhere on this site already. I did search around a fair amount but could not find it.

I need to archive a large amount of stuff (original photos and production-quality audio) on DVD+R. I’m using a Plextor PX-504A on Windows XP.

Can anyone recommend the best brand of DVD+R to use, for the purposes of long-term storage? Also, if you can point to a source where I can order it online at a decent price, that would be much appreciated.

I’ve kicked around this website a fair amount looking for such info, but a lot of it is just over my head and a bit overwhelming. So I apologize if this is a stupid question.

Taiyo Yuden or those media’s using TY dye - lately that’s Plextors own brand, some Samsung and Maxell’s, and Verbatum Pastels.

I have used ‘That’s’ +R in the past (TY’s own brand), and now Maxell +R’s - nice media.

Excellent, thanks.
