Best and most recent Firmware for NEC 3500 AG?

Currently using 2.FD firmware.

Do I need to change anything?

My only problem is the ATi infomedia r20 dvd -r blank disks are not working with Nero and DVD Decrypter and I now know cause and solution.

These disks do work with tria burning software, though.

Trying to avoid purchasing retail burning software.

Was using YG 302 disks, my local retailer stopped getting them, and now must find new source.

You will find all NEC ND-3500 firmwares here.

For recent Liggy/Dee-27 firmwares check out this thread.

BTW, I’ve never heard of “YG 302 disks”. Clarification please.

Thanks for noticing.

RIPLOCK REMOVED for fast DVD ripping

RIPLOCK enabled for quiet DVD playback on your PC. Please note, this will only playback slow on pressed DVD’s. DVD-R and +R media will still play at full drive speed. This is a feature of the STOCK NEC firmware.

Both firmwares share the same media speedups and strategy swaps

Which is best for me?

And do either or both have RPC 1 also?

Robert

Thanks for the DVD Identifier MID output.

Which is best for me?
The only difference is the ripplock.
Not removed in “quiet” package.

And do either or both have RPC 1 also?

Q: Which NEC firmware is LD firmware based on?
A: This firmware is based on MD16 2.FC firmware with riplock removed and RPC1 and many other changes.
