What other programs are available besides VOBEdit to extract the video and audio out of a VOB? Especially ones that are still being updated. Thanks.

Using this software, with the appropriate settings in place. You can obtain a separate video (m2v) and audio streams!
All while ripping your DVD too!
DVD Decrypter only will do that if directly from the DVD, it wont touch vob files on a HD.
SmartRipper and vStrip GUI both can rip out the Video & Audio streams from VOB files on your HD, or directly from a DVD as well.
