Hi, I followed the guide and made a speedpatched firmware for my BenQ1620, however, it is still ripping at 8X.
Anyway to make this work?

I followed the MCSE guide. The only thing i didn’t do was put computer in safe mode, but it flashed successfully. I know the firmware I flashed to has the “increased read speed” clicked on.
Post the result of the Nero CD-DVD Speed burst transfer test, you need a disk with some data in the drive to run the test. It should display about 23 MB/sec.
Check the DMA settings of your source and target drive.
Post a cdspeed transfer rate test.
