“With BenQ’s BW1000, users can easily transfer high-definition home videos and art works to BD-R and BD-RE media, either 25GB or 50GB version, to share and store premium contents with convenience.” LOL! Yeah. Good luck with Advanced Auto Consumer Screwing!

i like how they are using acronyms like “Anti-Dust Cooling System (ADCS) and Air Flow Cooling System (AFCS)”… In an attempt to confuse people about AACS

“Anti-Dust Cooling System (ADCS) and Air Flow Cooling System (AFCS)”… In an attempt to confuse people about AACS … Huh? ADCS & AFCS is for the 1670. . They are plain DVD Writers, nothing to do with BR… AACS has nothing to do with DVD±Rs… Dunno what you tripping on… but pass some this way! EG on the BenQ DW1640 for AFCS http://www.cdfreaks.com/news/11704

My favorite of all time was the one they came up for scanners - “TWAIN”. Technology Without An Interesting Name" :B

true but still dont you think that “Anti-Dust Cooling System (ADCS) and Air Flow Cooling System (AFCS)”… Are rather exobatent terms just to describe a fan and air vents cut into the chasies with a dust filter?

Actually most manufacturers including BenQ dont use fans in their drives for quite some time due to noise as well pumping dust into the burner which affects burn qualitty and cooling potential. As for the naming philosphy (it’s called marketing) its pretty much the same as any large company from EA to Microsoft™.
