[qanda]This thread is about the BenQ DW1800. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]Hi, recently I have some strange problem that I never experienced. Everytime I burn a DVD, it always fail and says power calibration error. I tried to update my firmware, disabled IMAPI service, changed blank DVDs from expensive one to cheap one, and nothing works.

Here is the error log of Nero 7, I am using Nero 7 that came with my purchase of DVD burner and I run on Windows XP SP3

This thing only happened when I burn DVD, I can burn CD sucessfully, even with cheap CDs, but DVD always fail :frowning:

Please help me. Thank you

#2

You need to enable DMA. Use a 80-conductor IDE cable if not already.

#3

Can you please explain me how to do that 2 specified thing? I’m new to these things

#4

I have solved the problem without enabling DMA and using cables. Thanks.
