[qanda]This thread is about the BenQ DVD+-R RW DW1620 BULK BLK. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]OK, so I got this DVD RW and popped it in my computer and started it up. Windows noticed it and installed it's generic drivers and I popped a dvd in there to check it out. Dune looked magnificent. I love that movie.
So, the drive worked just fine. Until I rebooted the machine and now XP says the driver is corrupt or missing, and no matter what I do, it won't access the drive. It'll open up and read discs but I can't access anything.
I've uninstalled the drive and reinstalled it, I've looked for updated drivers online and can only find firmware, not software drivers (and you can't update firmware when windows won't even access the device!), and I've even tried sticking my tongue out and crossing my eyes while reinstalling, all to no avail.
