I just got the Benq 1655 and on the first use the disc got caught when closing the tray. I have heard somebody else who has had two of these drives with the same problem, the tray does not open fully, app 3/4 of an inch short. you can pull it out by hand and it is usable.Has enybody else had this problem.
I have had this issue on numerous occasions.
Funny, I never thought much of it until I saw your post. I always thought it was user error. I thought that somehow I would repeatedly place the discs on the tray incorrectly.
It seems to me that the drive is slow to open and when it does it comes out short. I will probably persevere with it as it is mail order. Have not tested it much BUT I am sure by other people's posts that it is a good drive.
I get the disks caught in the tray when I close it if they're a bit off, but as long as they've been placed centered properly it opens and closes fine. I usually set it on the back of the tray at a 45 upwards and lower it down to try and makes sure I got it on right and to keep from scratching it from hittng the edges.
