Ok I have one IDE cable and both optical drives are on same IDE cable. Models are listed in first post.
First one (closest to motherboard connector) is Benq and at the end of the cable is Lite-On.
However I can’t remember what jumper positions are on both devices I would have to remove them too see,and tell you if it could help?
I kinda know you’ll say this but had to ask.
I did that and boot to win and cancel IDE scaning. Primary IDE was as on picture above. I then did hardware scanning to update secondary IDE. It automatically detected it in PIO mode. I changed it DMA,reboot and i was back at the beginning like in first picture. Seems like best I can do?
Welcome to CDF’s:
Can you post a Burst rate test from Nero CD-DVD Speed for us to see? Use this one please > http://cdspeed2000.com/files/NeroCDSpeed_47716.zip it’s a free app. Put a burned disc in the BenQ and run the test is all you have to do. Takes maybe 5 seconds to run a Burst rate test.
Here you go. I must mention that I used Traxdata 16x DVD-R media. Here is reported as RITEKF1.
