i don’t think i will have a good chance with bringing the rest of the spindle back… with this “Super”-Ednuser-support here in germany…

bought the spindle in a small computer-hardware-shop. they are cheap, but leak of good support… it will be hard to explain them, that i hab to use ( of 25 DVDs to realise, that the media is bad. and if they believe it, they would first try for their own, if the media is ok. and if they realise that the poor little rest is not good, (who knows, if another writer would perhaps work)…

i think i will just use the rest with slow write-speeds.

What about the warranty from Verbatim? Those should carry a lifetime warranty. Those 16X at our stores are made in Singapore, a notch above Taiwan. The pecking order goes like this…Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, and China.

New B7U9 is cool…

updated firmware yesterday, and tried one more DVD+r of my bad batch. see below. cool. fine burn. i do not understand why cdspeed gives me only 88%, but i see nothing bad in this scan. so either this is the first good DVDR in the 25-spindle (i don’t think so), or the B7U9 gives much better support for the MCC004 made in Taiwan.

In the B7U9 thread there a few of us playing with these MIT MCC004 and have the same results. Best score is 88 or 89, I have 3 at 85 so far. And one from a NEC 3500 at 75. My tests are from 2 spindles MIT from 2 different sources BB and CC in the states

Have had good luck with this for about 5 months. Now it will not read any disk except DVD. Will copy CD but cannot verify the copy as the unit cannot read the disk. Allways get the same message " not a Win32 application".
I unloaded the installation and reinstalled but no change. Had to reinstall via HD as installation disk could not be read. I can copy anything off the HD but not disk copy.
Anyone out there having this problem? Need help… ggarmany

Welcome ggarmany.

What OS are you on and what’s the content on discs not working? Problem with all kind of CD’s?

BTW, this thread is about problems to burn DVD’s…

I have a spindle of MCC-004 Verbatim. For some reason they won’t test on NERO CD-Speed Benchmark. I keep getting referred to “create disc”. What gives?

Steve1942: They might be blank. If you want to make a speed benchmark they need to be filled, or burned to, first.
If your burner isn’t recognizing the discs it has burned before, this is another completely different thing though.
