BD Drive name question

#1

Just installed a Pioneer BDR 209UBK/209M. The drive is listed in My PC as RD-RE Drive (F:] RD-RE Drive

My 209DBK is listed as RD-RE Drive (G:)

I don’t know why the F: name has RD-RE Drive listed twice…
Also what does RE stand for before they were listed as RD’s? How can I get the second part of he name on
F: deleted so it will only show RD-RE Drive (F:)

It’s relatively easy to change a drive name. Instructions can be found here.

RE indicates that the drive can handle BD-RE discs (i.e. rewritable blu-ray discs).
