BD Authoring w/ Nero 9

Quick question: I’m trying to author about 30GB worth of video files to a BluRay disc. They are recorded in MXP. I’m using Nero 9. It’s been “preparing” for a good 18 hours or so now. When I crunched that many down for a regular DVD it took about 12 hours if memory serves. The output leaves a lot to be desired, as I have no clue how much longer it has to go. I’d expect much more from Nero.

The computer is somewhat old, but still a 3ghz Pentium. Hardly an old Buick.

You expect toomuch, even from your computer.
First the software needs to transcode the material, then author it…all that needs time.

So what are we looking at w/ a decent PC? I assumed some type of processing was going on. I think asking for an estimate from the program is definitely not expecting too much. In fact, as a programmer, I can say with authority that that’s expecting the bare minimum.
