Badly Scratched Media, Best Drive To Rip With?

Can anyone suggest a good reader that can read/rip badly scratched media?

Why not remove the scratches? Just polish the bottom suface using some Crest Toothpaste as a polishing compound and a fine cloth like an old T-shirt. For deep scratches it takes a lot of polishing for 15min or so - but it works! You can seal it with some Vaseline when done.

Not so sure I’d recommend vaseline on the surface of your DVD. Wouldn’t take much to gunk up the laser pick-up. Just my measly 2 cents!

Yup…no Val or any coating on the read side of the DVD.

My BenQ’s have been very good at reading scratched medias.
