is there any way to free up hard drive space by backing up a games isntallation, after it has been fully installed, patched to latest version & configured for graphics & sound options.
It oftern takes ages to complete the patching & customising procresds for a game & it would be nice not to have to start over with the original game dvd, find all the patches again etc..
but as msot games take several Gb of hard drive spcew, it's not practical yo have all your games installed all of the tame, unless you buy lots of Hard drive capacity.
so is there any backup utility on the market that could archive the whole game install to , say, a network drive, then let you restore it if you decide to play it again ( after you've deleted the original install )
I've looked at microsoft backup, but that is only designed for data files , I don't think that it would backup program registry settings.
