I am attempting to use DVDFab Platinum to backup my wife's copies of the Quantum Leap Series. However, it's going nowhere fast.
Whether I try to copy the entire movie, the main movie (one episode) or copy/backup to disk, DVDFab gets just so far into reading the original and just hangs there. The copy/activity LED is on but nothing is really happening, other than DVDFab looping.
I even attempted to cancel the process and though I'm asked to confirm that I want to cancel the operation, DVDFab just hangs there. I'm forced to cancelt he task through the Windows Task Manager.
Anyone have any ideas?
I am able to backup other disc titles without much difficulty. This one seams to be giving me the devil of a time.
My DVD drives are an NEC 3530 and 3450 on a Dell A/V Server with Windows Media as the OS.
Thanks for any suggestions.
I watched the FabExpress copy and after about two minutes of copying, the time remaining value starts to climb and never falls. Prior to the two minute mark, it would fall, climb a little and then continue falling. After the two minute mark it never fell back.
I tried using FabGold to copy just the first episode and it seems to take a while before the first indication that something is happening (the staus bar).
On both copy types, if I cancel the operation soon enough, Fab will honor the request and stop what it's doing. If I allow the process to go on to long (I have no idea how long -long- is), Fab hangs and needs to be cancelled.
