AWS for CDR-DAO

vbimport

I'm thinking of adding an AWS feature to CDR-DAO, but need to figure some things out. What exactly is required? Any ideas for figuring out how to preogram it? Are there any Open-SOurce AWS capable programs out there?

is there more info on weak sectors…i did not understand what they exactly are…

Funny, every moderator here is always ready to
explain weak sectors to everyone, but none of
you has a clue where to start coding… if you had
a precise idea of the problem, it would take you 30
minutes to write a clone of BetaBlocker (which
takes less than 100 lines of C code). Or better, why
don’t you ask FutureProof, he will explain you how
to bypass the EFM tables ?

so why do you not advise him, when you have the know how…
would help him much

That’s exactly my question, what’s required, and what exactly are the problems.

And the rudeness is not required. It makes you look like a jerk.

Man, I came on this board mainly to share a bit of
what I know, and part of it unfortunately deals with
refuting false theories. I have nothing to gain by
spending my time answering questions here, and
all I get is names calling by people like you who
lack the basic knowledge of the field but are always
ready to start an argument ? Nope, I definitely have
more interesting ways to spend my time with. If you
are too arrogant to hear that you are wrong, keep
your illusions i don’t care. Adios, I’m off this board
and I leave you all the room for your wild guesses
and your crazy theories.EOF

Nice to see you back, btw

Don’t remember your own theory of weak sectors ?

I (and probably the original poster too) would love to
see a piece of code which does that, or even just
the atapi/mmc commands we could use to do
such a marvel, please ?

You know spath, you’re obviously a bright person but your tone, level & style of communication makes you look less than clever. Whenever a clearly technically correct response is posted on the web, in forums such as this, you can almost hear the collective intake of breath as the truth is revealed. Why is it, that you attract so much flak, despite your interesting insights? Surely you’ve been around? Surely you know the ‘routine’ on a site?

You draw the crabs because your sense of misplaced superiority overwhelms people. You’ll never build the respect, that you probably deserve, unless your communicative skills improve. If you’re embarassed by this missive, I don’t apologise but I hope it makes you take a step back and reconsider your approach to people. So you get flamed - get over it.

btw, read your private mail

So no one can give me any help at all?
