I have used NeroVision in the past to insert chapter marks into various AVI files when burning to DVD and this is pretty easy to do in NeroVision and to note where they are placed. NeroVision shows the chaptermark positions in a time reference from the beginning of the file. Example, chapter 3 might be placed at 00:15:35.43 (Hrs:Mins:Secs).
I'm looking to move away from NeroVision and toward AVSToDVD because the menus seem more to my liking, and the HC encoder is supposed to be among the best out there, plus AVSToDVD is free!
At any rate, I would like to recreate some of my saved NeroVision projects as AVSToDVD projects, so is there an easy or quick way to convert the time based chapter mark positions to frame based chapter marks, which is what AVSToDVD uses or is there any quick way to calculate the correct frame number from the time?
Also, I've seen times where the preview or edit feature in AVSToDVD will not display any video (or maybe not play the audio) in AVI files which are XVID compressed (video) or MP3 based (audio). I am using version 2.2.6 of AVSToDVD. Any thoughts on how to improve the probability of the edit/preview feature working successfully?
Thanks in advance!
