Many thanks for your reply.
I just made a text file named test.avs that only contains the following line:
When I open this file with windows media player, I get the error message that appears below. Is this the expected result?
Expanding on my problem:
I've just started trying to use DVD ReBuilder, but haven't managed to re-encode a movie yet.
Every time the process reaches "Phase II ENCODING" it stops with the following error message:
"AVS File not outputting (Use ConvertToYV12() at end of script)".
If I click "OK" it skips to the next file and stops again with the same message.
I searched both the the Club CD Freaks and Doom9 forums and the found this thread http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=76233 started by someone with a similar sounding problem. Reading the posts in this thread is what made me suspect that my problem was with AviSynth.
AMD Athlon(TM) XP 1600+ unlocked @1.7 GHz
Win 2000 pro
The software I'm using is as follows:
DVD ReBuilder v0.49
MPEG2Dec3dg.dll from decodefix130.zip
DVD Decrypter 188.8.131.52
BTW: do you think I started this thread in the most appropriate part of the forum?
