hi good day to everbody

i have four .avi’s, how can i convert it to mpegs and burn it to dvd. which software can i use. thanks for the help in advance

For more info look here:

I myself use TMPEGEnc Xpress for encoding and TMPGEnc DVD Author for the authouring, which works very well. Also, at the moment I’m trying out Adobe Encore which can do both the encoding and the authoring.

Good luck!

Even though it retails for $49, I like Ulead DVD Movie Factory 4 Standard. You load in your clips, ad chapters, make a menu if you want and can output to disk directly or a VIDEO_TS folder and burn with Nero, which I prefer.

Free is great, but for some reason I prefer this app.

 thnaks for the info i appreciate it

I use Alive Video Converter, works great for me!

Hey there people new on this forum. And want to learn the copying dvd stuff. I have movies on my pc would like to copy theese to dvd so i can watch them on my dvd player . WHat do i need ? im a noob and trying to learn this thank you.

There is a great tutorial site:

Excellent stuff.

Basically, if these are files you already have, you could convert them and create DVD’s using a variety of tools, like those listed above.

If you wish to rip DVD disks and then back them up, there is DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink and also DVD43 if you need them.

I personally like to rip using DVD Decrypter to my local hard drive, usually in FILE mode, then use DVD Shrink to customize things and get them the way I want, and also if needed shrink a dual layer DVD to fit on a single disk, then I export to a VIDEO_TS folder and burn that DVD-Ready folder to a disk using Nero.

That DVD43 is a little driver that lets you remove copy protection on the fly from any DVD movie disk you insert into your system. It is updated frequently to handle new forms of copy protection, in case DVD Decrypter doesn’t work on it.

Again, that site has some excellent tutorials on it.

http://www.vso-software.fr/divxtodvd/divxtodvd.htm I believe they’re still hosting the free version, even if not its still the easiest program to use to convert avis and mpgs to dvd. You just load the file, click convert, Thats all there is to it.

To my experience the most easiest and reliable software to create a DVD from multiple .avi files is DVDsanta.

Check out for yourself: http://www.dvdsanta.com/index.html?install

Good luck.
