I have an AVI file that is 2.3 gig and I need something to shrink it way down. DVDShrink will not do it for me. Can anyone help?
DVD Shrink is not able to manage avi files.
You can use VirtualDub to re-encode the movie, or alternatively you can use it to split the file into two or more segments with no re-encoding (this will avoid a quality degradation caused by the re-encoding).
Just a curiosity: why do you want re-encode the file? I’m asking because this will reduce the video quality, and I always avoid this (but I admit that I’m a bit picky )
