This feature has been in Avast for over 3 years now, it’s OK but not a patch on something like Teamviewer.

The main issue I can see is malware actively looking for connections made by antivirus products to drop them. Many Malware infections already do this to stop antivirus products (including Windows) from being able to get updates.

Although less common now with Windows Secure Boot, it is pretty difficult to remove or even detect some rootkit infections without booting into an offline OS or physically mounting the hard disk to another PC to run a scan.
