Automatic Track Creation

Hello everyone,

I’m new to the forum but have a pretty good background in digital audio and video.
I currently have some long and very long spoken word audio files which i need to burn to audio CD. I need some recommendations as to the best way to create these so that they can have new tracks every say 5 minutes. Also when the files are over the duration for a CD, are you best off splitting them first and then burning them or is there a way around this?

Thanks for your assistance

Without knowing what the commentary/story/educational type of file it is difficult for the members to give advice.
You could put it in Nero wave editor and cut it into tracks about 5 mins long choosing a pause in the narration that fits in with the time period you require.
If the files are too long for one CD then you will have to split them first, again in the editor you could choose the best point to do that.
