Audiocrusher (cd-ripper), clicking noises in my mp3's

Hey there, all…

I recently formatted, changed to Windows 2k, and reinstalled all my stuff…got new ASPI drivers, the whole nine yards…

the other day I went to rip one of my cd’s using AudioCrusher. Well, It used to be that I could do it beautifully, but now since I reinstalled everything, I find that when I rip songs there is this strange and incredibly annoying “clicking” type sound that now accompanies the song…

What is this and how do I get rid of it?

Thanks for the help!

Either the ASPI driver or you’re ripping at too high a speed.

You could try a different ripper too (EAC with LAME encoder for example)

Yes …

or … do you have a VIA chispet ?

I just went and downloaded a new encoder…I replaced Blade.enc with the Lame Enc encoder…and things are working wonderfully.

Thanks for the assistance!

Kosh, dear friend…I fear I am ignorant on the subject of VIA chipsets…does it have something to do with my motherboard? I am using an ASUS A7A 266 motherboard…the box says it has the “ALiMAGiK” chipset…

thanks for everything.
